Simmons was the original name I came up with for Earl's loyal servant. He has been employed by Earl's family for most of his life. This character was inspired by Michael Caine, but in my mind, he's shorter in stature and I don't picture Mr. Caine when I envision him. Perhaps it's his English accent and demeanor that has inspired me? Even though Simmons is in his dotage, he can still be charming.
